Welcome to NIPER Hajipur

The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) is the first Institute of its kind to be set up at in the State of Bihar in the year 2007. It is an autonomous institution of national importance, established under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Govt. of India under NIPER Act 1998 at Hajipur in Vaishali District of Bihar. It is a Centre of excellence for higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences, conceived to provide leadership in pharmaceutical sciences and other related areas.

“Till the academic year 2022-23, the NIPER Hajipur had 7 departments – Biotechnology, Pharmacy Practice, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Pharmaceutical analysis, Pharmaceutics, Regulatory Toxicology and Biopharmaceuticals. The institute offers M. Pharm degree in Pharmacy Practice and M.S. (Pharm) degree in Biotechnology, Pharmacology & Toxicology, Pharmaceutical analysis, Pharmaceutics, and Regulatory Toxicology. Ph.D. degree is offered in all the branches except Regulatory Toxicology. A new department, Biopharmaceuticals, has been initiated from the current academic year of 2023-24 and the new department will offer M.S (Pharm) and Ph.D. degrees”.
