Board of Governors
The Nodal Ministry of the Institute vide communication No. F.no. 50020/38/2026-NIPER dated 26.05.2026 directed that as per the provisions of the NIPER Act 1998 and the Statutes framed thereunder, the Board of Governors (BoG) is the Principal Executive body of each of the NIPERs. The composition of the BoG includes:
- Ex-officio members, whose tenure is co-terminus with the office held by them; and
- Nominated/appointed members, who hold office for a fixed tenure (three years).
Nomination/appointment of new BoG members of the NIPERs is under process and is likely to take some time. However, the BoG itself is permanent body which is responsible for the administration, direction, and management of the institute’s affairs and is essential to ensure that important decisions and statutory obligations are not adversely affected.
