CITI ZEN’S CHARTER FOR NIPER HAJIPUR

National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) Hajipur is an autonomous institution established under the aegis of Department of Chemical and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers at Hajupur, district Vaishali, Bihar. It has been set up under the Act of Parliament as a centre of excellence for higher education, research and development in pharmaceutical sciences.

Mandate

To nurture and promote quality and excellence in pharmaceutical education and research on course leading to Master’s degree, Doctoral and Post doctoral and research in pharmaceutical education. To collect and maintain world literature on pharmaceutical and related science and technology so as to develop an information centre of its own kind for other institutions within the country and in the developing world. To develop a multidisciplinary approach in carrying out research and training of pharmaceutical manpower so that the larger interests of the profession, academia and pharmaceutical industry are better served and a pharmaceutical work culture is evolved which is in tune with the changing world trends and patterns of pharmaceutical education and research.

Vision

To be a Nationally and Internationally recognized premier Centre of Excellence in teaching, imparting training and cutting edge research in the area of pharmaceutical sciences and allied areas with emphasis on encouraging entrepreneurship among students and faculties.

Mission

  • To prepare and nurture professionals to suit the needs of pharmaceutical industry
  • To work towards improvement of pharmaceutical education & research and management of pharmaceutical industry and institutions
  • To bring synergy between academia and industry
  • To facilitate international student and faculty exchange programmes to enhance the diversity on the campus
  • To encourage research in new and emerging areas like discovery of pharmacologically active molecules useful in immunology and immunodiagnostics, cellular and molecular biology etc.

Services

The Institute awards degrees M.S. (Pharm) in Biotechnology and Pharmacoinformatics, pharmacology & toxicology, M. Pharm. in Pharmacy Practice and Ph.D. in pharmacology & toxicology, Pharmacy Practice and Biotechnology programmes. The main objective of the institute is to make NIPER-Hajipur – a centre of excellence to cater the global needs in the field of Pharmaceutical Sciences and to attain excellence; location, infrastructure, funds, human resources, management system and governance need to be placed.

Public Grievance Redressal, Department of Pharmaceutical, Ministry of Chemical and Fertilizers, GOI.

A Grievances Cell is functioning in the Department in Room No. 414 – ‘B’ Wing, Shastri Bhavan, New Delhi. A Grievance Box has been provided at the Grievance Cell. Appropriate action will be completed within a period of three months of the receipt of complaint. In the event of the person wanting to take up the matter personally, he or she may contact the Director of Grievances, Joint Secretary, Room No. 340-C, A Wing Shastri Bhavan, New Delhi. The designated officer will generally be available for meeting the complaints from 1000 hrs to 1300 hrs every Wednesday.
