Patna to get advanced drug testing facility : Bihar is set to strengthen its drug quality monitoring and pharmaceutical research infrastructure with a proposed state-of-the-art drug testing laboratory and analytical development facility(ADF) in Patna. A review meeting chaired by Health Minister Nishant Kumar on Tuesday discussed infrastructure, technical capabilities, budget and operational requirements. Health department secretary Kumar Ravi and officials from NIPER Hajipur – Prof. K Ruckmani, Dr. P Ramalingam and Dr. Amita Rai attended. The facility is expected to support drug testing, pharmaceutical research, new formulations and quality-control processes. Nishat directed officials to expedite the project and ensure the proposed facilities are effective and useful. Date: 01-Sep-2026
